We have actively participated in multiple hackathons and technical workshops that have strengthened our skills in Generative AI, Full Stack Development, and practical problem-solving. Recently, We took part in the CognitiveX – GenAI Hackathon organized by the Hackathon Club BIET in collaboration with Smartbridge and IBM SkillsBuild, where we worked on the problem statement AI Medical Prescription Verification leveraging IBM Watson and Hugging Face Models. This gave us hands-on experience with Python, Machine Learning, IBM AI tools, FastAPI, and Streamlit for building real-world AI solutions. We explored Agentic AI in E-commerce during Agentic AI and Generative AI hackathon, where our problem statement focused on enhancing the shopping experience for user with autonomous AI agents. We are also participating in the Smart India Hackathon(SIH) where we submitted a AI application with smart advisory solution that focused on helping small farmers make informed decisions which can significantly increase productivity, reduce costs, and improve livelihoods contributing to sustainable farming practices, food security, and environmental conservation. Additionally, To strengthen our technical foundation, we also completed an intensive 10-day Full Stack Java workshop, which helped us gain end-to-end development experience. We participated in the IBM Cognitive-X GenAI Hackathon conducted by our college, where we built EchoVerse a generative AI-powered audiobook creation tool that transforms user-provided text into expressive, downloadable audio content. It empowers users, including students and visually impaired individuals, to convert written material into natural-sounding narrations with customizable tones and voices by leveraging IBM Watson AI capabilities and Hugging Face models, we built a prototype . We have also participated in a department-level hackathon, where we built an AI tutor that helps users learn programming languages by explaining topics, creating quizzes, and tracking their learning. An agentic AI that helps a student coding languages with interactive Q&A, daily plans, and feedback, mimicking the role of a human tutor to enhance engagement and learning outcomes. We have gained hands-on experience with tools such as FastAPI, Streamlit, NumPy, Pydub, Git/GitHub, Flask, React, MongoDB, Firebase, and Google Cloud and AI ML models such as Agentic AI, Text-to-Speech, Hugging Face, IBM Watson while improving our understanding of prompt engineering, API integration, and UI/UX design. We have also participated in Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2024. 1. We successfully completed a 4-week virtual internship in Java Programming at CodSoft from 20th October 2024 to 20th November 2024. During this internship, we gained hands-on experience in developing Java applications, solving real-world coding challenges, and implementing object-oriented programming concepts. We worked on tasks and projects that enhanced our problem-solving skills, logical thinking, and ability to write efficient code. This internship also strengthened our understanding of Java frameworks, debugging techniques, and project execution. The program provided valuable exposure to industry practices, and we received wonderful remarks for our contributions, dedication, and consistent performance throughout the internship.
2. Suraksha Dial – Offline Emergency Recognition System. Suraksha Dial is a safety-focused mobile application designed to provide instant help during emergencies. Unlike traditional solutions that rely heavily on internet connectivity, our app uses offline voice recognition to detect distress keywords such as “help” or “emergency”. This ensures reliability even in low-connectivity zones, flight mode, or during network failures, where online systems may fail. Once a distress keyword is recognized, the app automatically dials predefined emergency contacts without requiring any manual input. This approach not only reduces response time but also protects user privacy, since no voice data is sent to external servers. Suraksha Dial emphasizes speed, privacy, and accessibility, making it a practical solution for real-world emergency scenarios.
3. Successfully completed a Web Development Internship with Cognifyz Technologies from July 2024 to August 2024. During this period, we worked on various web development tasks and gained hands-on experience in the field. We demonstrated dedication, sincerity, and a strong desire to learn while improving our technical and communication skills. We also enhanced my ability to coordinate effectively, pay attention to detail, and adapt to new challenges. This internship allowed us to strengthen our passion for Web Development, expand our knowledge, and build confidence in solving real-world problems. |

We had the opportunity to participate in Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2024, where our team was shortlisted for the Grand Finale under the Smart Education theme. The problem statement assigned to us (ID – 1720) focused on developing innovative ways to use technology for the dissemination of anti-doping information, in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports.
Our solution was designed to combine healthcare innovation with artificial intelligence to support athletes, coaches, and the wider sporting community. At the core of our idea was the concept of a Digital Twin for athletes, a virtual model that could track fitness levels, nutrition, and supplement intake, while also alerting users to potential doping risks. Alongside this, we built an AI-powered chatbot to provide multilingual, real-time guidance on anti-doping rules, ensuring accessibility even in rural and remote areas.
To enhance trust and transparency, we explored the integration of IoT-enabled smart labels with blockchain-based verification, allowing athletes to instantly check whether a product contained banned substances. To keep engagement high, we introduced gamified challenges, quizzes, leaderboards, and podcasts, while also creating a collaborative Anti-Doping Wiki for real-time updates on global and national regulations.
From a technical standpoint, we combined AI/ML, IoT, and blockchain technologies with a cloud and mobile-first architecture, using tools like Flask, React Native/Flutter, MongoDB, Firebase, and Google Cloud. This ensured both scalability and reliability.
Participating in SIH 2024 was a transformative experience for us as a team. It not only gave us the chance to work on a socially impactful problem in the healthcare and sports domain, but also challenged us to merge cutting-edge technologies with real-world applicability. Being shortlisted for the Grand Finale validated the novelty of our solution—especially our pioneering application of a Digital Twin in anti-doping education—and motivated us to continue innovating at the intersection of AI, healthcare, and sports integrity. |

We participated in another hackathon conducted by IBM — the IBM Cognitive-X GenAI Hackathon, organized by our college.
In this event, we worked on technical projects:
StudyMate – An AI-powered pdf based Q&A system for students that enables interact with the students through AI powered assistant. Instead of passively reading large pdf we did a natural languages respond according to user data. personal study companion that transforms academic materials into an interactive assistant. It enables cross-document search, adaptive learning, and personalized practice. We also created cheat-sheets that provide concise information to help with exam preparation. Additionally, we integrated AI into the StudyMate app-website, where users can input data and receive AI-generated answers.
An AI-driven platform that converts text into immersive, multilingual audiobooks with features like emotion, voice cloning, and soundscaping, completing the process in hours instead of months.Later by leveraging IBM Watson AI capabilities and hugging phase models, we built a prototype to improve on medical safety.
We participate in Green Skills & Artificial Intelligence (Skills4Future) from Edunet Foundation, in collaboration with AICTE and Shell, at Bapuji Institute of Engineering and Technology. The program covered sustainable AI practices, energy-efficient model design, and domain-specific data handling for environmental applications. We learned to evaluate model energy costs, apply lightweight ML techniques ,frame AI solutions that prioritize environmental impact. We eager to bring these skills to the hackathon by focusing on projects that combine AI with sustainability.

Participating in the hackathon at Government Engineering College, Hassan was an experience I’ll always remember—filled with challenges, learning, and a lot of reflection. The event brought together passionate innovators, coders, and problem-solvers under one roof, creating an atmosphere buzzing with ideas and energy. At the same time, it also showed how important good planning and execution are when it comes to running large-scale events smoothly.
Many of us struggled with some basic necessities—things like proper accommodation, hygiene, clean drinking water, decent bedding, and stable internet connectivity. These issues made the experience a little uncomfortable and, in some cases, even distracting. On top of that, the lack of clear communication and limited technical guidance from mentors and judges was a real hurdle, especially for participants who needed extra support with both technical and language challenges.
But what stood out was the resilience and determination of the participants. Despite the setbacks, teams worked late into the night to bring their ideas to life. There was an incredible sense of collaboration and teamwork that kept everyone moving forward, proving that innovation doesn’t stop when things get hard—it adapts.
For the organizers, this hackathon was also a big learning curve. It highlighted that participant comfort and well-being are just as vital as technical arrangements. After all, people think and create best when they are in an environment that supports them. Taking these lessons forward, the next editions of such events can aim to balance innovation with care, ensuring every participant feels valued, safe, and motivated.
In the end, this wasn’t just a hackathon about coding challenges—it was about resilience, teamwork, and the lessons learned both on and off the screen. |

1) We have the experience of participating in the Ctrl+Alt+COMPETE hackathon at RV College Of Engineering (8th June 2025) . Our team worked under the theme "Artificial Intelligence and Data Science for Sustainable Solutions", focusing on solving real-world challenges. We developed the “Bengaluru Flood Risk Dashboard” project , an AI-driven solution aimed at predicting and visualizing flood-prone areas in Bengaluru using historical data, rainfall patterns, and geographic insights.

We participated in a hackathon where we built Save Eats, a platform that connects restaurants with NGOs/organizations to redistribute leftover food. If food remains in a restaurant, they can notify through the app, and volunteers/organizations will come to collect it and distribute it to those in need.
The experience was very positive — we learned how to work as a team under time constraints, build a working prototype quickly, and pitch our idea effectively. It also gave us exposure to problem-solving, teamwork, and presenting in front of judges, which we found exciting and motivating. |

I am from Team Zoro and I have worked on 3 problem statements all the three are different and im explaining it in brief in the further paragraph all the three statements are explained.An agriculture-oriented website can be developed as a digital platform for farmers, buyers, and agriculture enthusiasts to share knowledge, access resources, and connect with services. The website could include features like crop information and best practices, weather forecasts, pest/disease management tips, and government schemes relevant to farmers. A marketplace section can allow farmers to directly list and sell their produce, cutting middlemen and helping them get fair prices, while buyers can browse and order. It may also provide tools like crop calendars, soil testing guidance, and fertilizer recommendations to help improve productivity. For community building, the site can have a discussion forum, blogs, and expert Q\&A sessions where farmers interact and learn. Multilingual support and a mobile-friendly interface are essential so that rural users can easily access it. From the development side, the website should have a clean design, easy navigation, and secure user accounts, while integrating APIs for weather updates, price trends, and government advisories. Over time, advanced features like AI-based crop recommendations, IoT device integration, and e-learning modules can make the platform a one-stop solution for modern agriculture.A womens safety application is a mobile app designed to provide quick help in emergencies and enhance security for users. Its core features include a panic/SOS button that instantly alerts trusted contacts and emergency services with the users live location, along with options for auto-calling helplines, sending SMS alerts, and starting discreet audio or video recording for evidence. Users can also set up check-in timers when traveling, share real-time locations, and access nearby hospitals, police stations, or helplines through the app. To ensure reliability, the app should support both online push notifications and offline SMS-based alerts. Key development considerations include simple and accessible design (large buttons, multilingual support, and accessibility features), privacy and security measures like encryption and consent-based data sharing, and integration with local authorities or NGOs for verified support. Over time, advanced features like wearable integration, geofencing alerts, or crowdsourced safe zones can be added, but the MVP should focus on fast alerts, trusted contact management, and reliable communication in emergencies.A Lab Management System website is a digital platform designed to streamline the way teachers and students interact in a laboratory or coursework setting. The website allows teachers to create, assign, and evaluate lab tests or programs online, reducing the need for manual checking. Students can log in, take tests, upload lab programs, and view their results directly on the portal. Teachers can share lab resources, programming assignments, manuals, and study materials through the website, making it a centralized hub for lab activities. The system also supports automatic grading for objective questions and code-based tasks, while teachers can manually review and give feedback for descriptive or practical submissions. Additional features like student performance tracking, attendance management, plagiarism detection, discussion forums, and secure data storage make it more comprehensive. A well-designed lab management system should have a user-friendly interface, role-based access (teacher/student/admin), and secure login, ensuring that only authorized users can access sensitive data. I recently participated in the Tutedude 48-Hour Web Development Hackathon, where my team and we built TrustKart, a secure e-commerce web platform focused on enhancing consumer trust. I’ve built a smart parking booking app that works just like BookMyShow, but for parking spots.
